- Ogakie Shinmei-jinja Shrine Grand Festival (Konpira-jinja Shrine)
- [Kariya-City]
- Date :
Kotohira-sha Shrine - Sunday after the Grand Festival Day (Taisai) of April 10th
Shinmei Shrine - Sunday after the Grand Festival Day (Taisai) of October 16th
- The existence of Ogakie's float can be identified in historical documents from 1884. The number of floats that participate in the festival varies from year to year. Although five floats were identified as having participated in 1846, it is assumed that the participation of floats in the Shinmei-sha Shrine Festival was discontinued in around 1873. One of the five floats was sold to Masaki-Shinmichi in Kariya Town in 1877 and was used for the Ichibara Inari-jinja Shrine Festival. However, the float festival was discontinued soon after the war ended. The float returned to Ogakie in 1994, and remains there to this day. Today, the float accompanied with festival music envelops the venue in a lively atmosphere.
