  • Omiya-jinja Shrine Annual Grand Festival
(Origin, etc.) According to documents regarding the origin of the Omiya-jinja Shrine, Nyakuichioji of Kumano Sansha Daigongen was transferred from Shimoichinogo in Mt. Nachi of Kishu by Kikuhime, the daughter of Lord Fujiwara no Toshinari, who is said to have developed the land of Gamagori, in the name of her father on February 19th, 1185. Later, the Udono clan, who built the Kaminogo Castle, worshiped this shrine as a guardian deity of their birthplace, which indicates that the festival has been held since the old times.
