- The highlight of this festival is each district's dedication of fireworks. It is said that when the feudal retainers of Shinshiro went to Edo for Sankin Kotai (alternate attendance) in the middle of the Edo period, they watched the fireworks at the Ryogoku River carnival and brought them back.
During the day, a procession is held of a portable shrine along with a three-wheel float and a festival music float without a floor.
