The float festival of Tamano District is said to have begun to prevent disasters in the district, and consists of a float parade, Karakuri puppet performance on the float, and Shinto music and dance. The Karakuri puppet story is about Ebisu and Dakoku (deities of wealth) going fishing, and the elaborate performance never fails to amuse people.
