- The Owari Nishibiwajima Festival started when a float was made and dedicated at the Tenno Festival in 1802. There are five floats: Ogishisha, Yoritomosha, Taikosha, Kojinsha, and Raikosha, all of which are designated as Kiyosu City's cultural property. The floats are of the Nagoya style with two tiers and wheels on the sides, with a Karakuri puppet placed on the shelf at the front the float. Highlights include splendid Karakuri puppet performances accompanied by festival music, and a dynamic float parade along the Minoji highway. Today, it is held as the city's festival on the 1st Saturday and Sunday of June every year. The festival sees large numbers of tourists come to see the traditional event of the Minoji highway in early summer.
