- Ota Festival
- [Tokai-City]
- Date :
Annually on the 1st Sunday of October and preceding Saturday
-
- The float festival is a dedication in the Omiya-jinja Shrine Autumn Festival, and it appears that the current four floats were first pulled in the late Edo period. Although some of the floats retain the old Chita style of the Ota Festival, modifications like changes to the shape of the wheels to suit the conditions of each location have been made. The highlight of the festival is the Donden rotation of the floats. In particular, the Donden performed in the Omiya-jinja Shrine grounds is the climax of the festival where the floats of each group compete against each other.
