In April, when spring is in full bloom. In the town of Utsumi, splendid festivals distinctive to each district are held all at once.
The Sango Festival jointly held by the Nakanogo District, Kitawaki District, and Banba District, which involves a dedication of folk performing arts performances by the three districts at the Irumi-jinja Shrine. The Nakanogo District dedicates a Mameshaku performance by Yakko (samurai attendants) of the Daimyo Gyoretsu Procession and small children, while Kitawaki District and Banba District dedicate a performance of the traditional "Bonote", which is a dance created from the forms of Japanese martial arts. After that, the Banba District does a Karakuri puppet show, in which the dragon riding on the Jaguruma float dances. Nakano Jinemon Shigetomi was also involved in the production of this float built in the end of Edo period.
