Inuyama-City
Inuyama Artifacts Museum
(Shirotomachi Museum)
- In Inuyama, the castle and its town still feature almost the same street layout that they had in the Edo era. Shirotomachi Museum (Inuyama Artifacts Museum) is a facility serving as a base that disseminates information regarding the precious castle and its town, and that introduces the history and culture of Inuyama, with a focus on the culture of the samurai and townspeople that bloomed during the Edo era.
In the exhibition room, there are historic materials that have been passed on in Inuyama, in addition to the fine arts and crafts that originate from the Naruse Family of the former Inuyama Castle Lord, owned by the Inuyama Castle Hakutei Library. Moreover, special exhibitions are held several times a year on particular themes.
